Svenja and me went to morocco for three weeks or so about three years ago. We traveled from Marrakesh to Ouarzazat to Fez to Casablanca and returned to Marrakesh to go back to Europe. We traveled by Big bus to small bus to Land Rover to train to Camel riding! to walking and trekking. This guy who is wearing my sunglasses were a grandfather of a family in the middle of nowhere in the desert where we arrived by camel with our trekking guide. We stayed at this home for a while just to take a rest. It was just all dry and hot there. It was completely opposite from where i was born where humidity even influences people's mentality. And then I saw a European woman, actually more like a girl who was early 20's, who was working alone in the desert. She was pulling a bucket of water from a well. I asked the man "what is she doing? who is she? why she is here? " Then I learned France and Morocco has kind of an agreement that you can choose either you go to a jail in France or go to Morocco for a Volunteer. WOW.

Then I start to imagine free. Recently there are many scandals in Sumo association in Japan and struggling to maintain their popularity and respect. There are also many Sumo wrestlers from foreign countries nowadays such as Mongolia, Georgia, Estonia, Bulgaria among others. I wonder why they don't send those Sumo wrestlers who committed this or this or this to Mongolia or other countries and let them work as Sumo trainers in those countries. If I were one of them, I would definitely go to Mongolia and try my best to become a welcome back hero Sumo wrestler. Ahaha. Out of box thinking is very rare in Japan nowadays. Why?

スベンニャと僕は三年前くらいに三週間くらいモロッコを旅した。マラケシから大きな乗り合いバスに乗ってワルザザトに行って、そこからちっちゃい乗り合いバスに乗って、次の街で砂漠をランドローバーで走って、ラクダに乗り換えて砂漠を渡って、山を歩いてトレッキングして、フェズからカサブランカまで電車に乗って、また国内線に乗ってヨーロッパに戻る為にマラケシに戻ってくるまで。ぐるっと三週間。僕のサングラスをかけているこの写真のおじいさんは少し休ませてもらうつもりで僕らのガイドが連れてってくれた周りになーんも無い砂漠のなかにぽつんと建っている家のおじいさんだった。めちゃくちゃ日差しが強くて完璧な乾燥地帯だった。湿度の高い日本と完全に逆の世界。ぐるっと見回すと20歳位の一見ヨーロッパ人の女の子が井戸から水を汲んでいた。なんだ？おじいさん、あの女性はなんでここにいるの？彼女は何してるの？彼女は誰なの？それで知ったのはフランスとモロッコは何らかの協定を結んでいて、フランスで（多分）若年層が犯罪を犯した場合、牢屋に入るかボランティアとしてモロッコで働くか選択できるらしい。ぶっ飛んだ。

それで色々と夢想する。マーケティング系の人と話すとよく出てくる言葉にout of boxって言い回しがある。要は既成概念(Box)から飛び出して(out)物事を考えるって言う意味だけど、このフランスとモロッコの話、詳しくは分からないけど日本人の僕にしてみるとまさに前例を飛び出た考え方だと思った。で、前例をひっくり返す位の想像力とそれに伴う行動が無いと物事が望んだ方向に進まない事が沢山あるのが今の世界。ここから先の話は日本の友達と長電話した時に盛り上がった話だけど、スキャンダルで大変な相撲界にこの方法取り入れたら素晴らしいだろうな。犯罪を犯した相撲取り（でも芸能人でも一般人でもなんでも）をウランバートル（でもカンボジアでもラオスでもどこでも）に送って相撲部屋（でも地雷撤去でも塾でも工場でもなんでも）を立ち上げさせて、部屋がある程度成り立った時点でモンゴル部屋日本デビュー。牢屋に入るかモンゴル部屋立ち上げの一助となるかどっちか選べって言ったら間違いなく部屋立ち上げの方を選択するって人多いんじゃないかな？あはは結局モンゴル部屋の話になった。しかし既成概念から出るのは度胸がいる。
