Water in Japan is soft and sweet which i really love. That's why I don't like a glass of water with ice cubes that tastes very flat and characterless. Although it is such a nice service at restaurants in Japan that a glass of water is served for free when you sit at the table, I really wonder why it still comes with lots of ice cubes. I think this came from the idea to add value to normal water. But in fact it decrease the value of sweet Japanese water. This culture must have come from America. I hope to see Japanese restaurants who serves a glass of water without ice cubes.
