It was always a big hesitation for me to say "i am a designer" or simply "i am somebody". i was not confident enough and was always doubting myself about what i do and what i feel. The reason for this is because of my lack of appropriate education or background, and also feeling insecure how people think about my interest that goes sometime weird and nerdy. I mean i am not interested in designing a store that is all in white with black steel hanging rail that you would see in any cities from any brands at the moment. it is simply not me.
what i learned now is that the inner problem i have at the moment will stay the same forever if i want. I would have a similar financial headaches no matter how rich i would be, i would have a time control problems even if i have super creative assistants around me 24/7, i would have a relationship problem even if we can go for a super lux island travel for relaxation. daily inner problems such as worrying the things that is not yet happened, losing yourself by looping negative "what if" questions to you many times, doubting your belief or abilities, simply destroy my life. It can destroy my life because I will never be able to think free and be creative. To believe in one thing requires creativity. I think.
i know it could be extremely difficult task to achieve. It is a life time project for me to achieve. but one thing what i learned now is the importance of consciousness on how you are now at the moment. happy? sad? annoyed? wishful? I will keep on looking into inside of me to analyze how i am and what i want. i believe this is a long time training process but this is the only way for me to be free. Thinking more about what i have on my hands rather than what i wish to have.
自分の事を「デザイナーです」と言ってみたり、「僕は何者かです」とかっこ良く言い切る事にはいつでも躊躇が伴った。自分にそんなに自信が無かったし、いつでも自分の感覚や行っている事に疑いの目を持っていたから。理由は多分経験や学歴の少なさや、自分の興味が広がって一般的に言うとちょっと変なおたく性の強い方向にすぐ入って行ってしまうから。まー分かりやすく言うと自分には、世界のどの都市にでも存在するような真っ白の無個性なショップのデザインをしたいと思うような興味の方向性が無いと言う事。
ここ数年で何を学んだかっていうと今時分が抱えている心の問題って言うのは、自分の気持ちの持ち方次第だって事。いくらリッチになろうとも経済的な理由による頭痛はこの先もずっと続くだろうし、有効な時間活用問題はいくらスーパークリエイティブアシスタントが24時間7日間回りにいてくれた所で変わらないだろうし、ラグジュアリーな南の島の旅が出来るようになったって人間関係に生じる問題は永遠に続くんだろうという事。日々生じる心の問題、例えばまだ起こっていない事を心配したり、ネガティブな「もしこうなったら」って言う質問を何度も自分にして自分を見失ったり、自分の信念や可能性を疑う事は僕の人生を破壊する。なんでかって言うとそんな日々の心配事が頭を占領してしまって自由に物事が考えられなくなったり、クリエイティブになれないから。一つの事を信じるって言う事はクリエイティビティーが要求されるものだと思うから。
って言うのは自分でコントロールするのがすごく難しい事だと思う。僕にとってはこれは人生をかけて達成するライフタイムプロジェクトだ。ただ一つここ数年で学んだ事は自分が今幸せなのか？悲しいのか？鬱陶しいと思っているのか？希望に満ちているのかって言う瞬間瞬間の感情を出来る限り克明に意識する事の重要性。僕はこれからずーっと自分の内側を見続けて自分の気持ちを分析し続ける。すごく長いトレーニングのようなプロセスだけれども、これが自分にとって自由になる唯一の方法だと思うから。こんなふうだったら良いのにと考えるよりも今に集中する事。
