In this weekend my husband will take me to Salzburg. By car it takes 1.5 - 2 hours from here. We will just enjoy our last trip -only us- and in Europe.After my language course in Florence, before I go back to Japan I visited Salzburg.I changed my plan how I go to Salzburg because I found someone at the language course in Florence who drives to Hungary thorough Austria. Somehow I slept by myself at the station in Graz and a Yugoslavian guy helped me.(actually I asked him if he could stay there with me because the waiting room at the station would be closed in midnight.) He just stayed there with me. At that time there was a war and he wanted escape with his wife and baby by car from there. He let check their passport at his town, in spite of it, only his passport was not correct (or expired, I don´t know it well) thats why he couldn´t across the border. He left his wife, baby and the car over there and he needed to take another way to across the border...In the morning we got a train tickets. He repeated that he cannot believe his ticket and a guy whom sold that ticket. I just laughed about his concern. At that time he was a bit angry and told me whats happen on him. We got a same train but I needed change somewhere and we said good by. I think of his situation quite often if he could meet his family again.... I hope. After such a night I was quite lucky in Salzburg. I stayed there 3 days and left to Milan by night train. In 2 months I will finish my life in Europa.

今週末、夫がザルツブルグへ連れて行ってくれる。ここからだと車で約１時間半から２時間。２人での最後の旅行、さらに（とりあえずは）最後のヨーロッパ旅行になる。１９９９年３月初めてのイタリアでの語学研修の後ザルツブルグへ向かった。語学学校でオーストリアを抜けてハンガリーへ帰る人がいるというのを聞き、電車での行程を変更しその人の車で向かうことになった。でもいろいろあり、一晩私はグラーツの中央駅に泊まることになった。。。しかも０時になると待合室も閉まるので追い出される事に。同じく朝一の電車を待つ男の人に私は助けを求めた。私の勘がどこかで「この人は大丈夫」と言っていたので。。。とりあえずふきっさらしのホームへでてベンチも二つあったので横になった。春先は冷える。朝になって窓口が開き、チケットを買った。たまたま電車が一緒で満月の見えたホームで電車を待つ。彼は「このチケットも、あの駅員の言っている事も信じられない」と繰り返した。私は笑った。でも彼に取ってはそれはおかしくもなんともないことだった。そのころユーゴスラビアで戦争があった。彼は妻と赤ちゃんと車で国を離れようとしたけれども国境で彼のパスポートだけ何かのミスがあり国境を越える事ができなかった。その前に全てをきちんと確認したそうだ。それにもかかわらずそんなことがあったので「誰も信用できない」と彼は言っていた。私はどこかで乗り換えがあったのでどたばたあっさりの別れになってしまった。その後も彼と彼の家族を考えては上手く会えたかと思う。そして東京であったコソボ戦争のドキュメンタリーフィルムを友達と見に行って、その悲惨さに私がそれまで想像していたものとかなりのギャップがあったのにまたショックだった。今彼らはどこでどうしているのだろう。お昼前に無事にザルツブルグに着き、友達のチェックインしていたホテルに転がり込み、街をふらふらしていたらその友達に偶然会った。彼女と３日間楽しみ、私はまた夜行でミラノへ向かった。そして間もなく私のヨーロッパ生活が終る。
