I am very much inspired by Kurumi's daily food documentation on her blog and facebook. I start to do the same. gahaha, I do cook too. This was what i cooked yesterday.
くるみちゃんはfacebookや自分のブログに食べ物のドキュメンテーションをよくするけど、僕もそれに触発されて自分の料理のアップデートを始めることにした。これが昨晩の料理。

After succeeding first try out of Fettucine with Beef! we went to Volksbühne to see the concert of Burnt Friedman & Jaki Liebezeit.　Super nice start of Friday night.
牛肉のフェットゥチーネを大成功させておなかも一杯になった頃、僕らはVolksbühneにBurnt Friedman&Jaki Liebezeitのコンサートを見に行った。最高なFriday nightの始まり方。

Sound was also minimal that goes to Blues to Brazilian to Electronic from fast to very slow tempo that shift to one another so rapidly, unexpectedly and seamlessly that i sometime was very confused since when they changed tempo? and which one of them contributed more to managed to do so? Ha! It really reminded me of a amazing driving experience I had when i was driving up a snowy mountain one day by car and at one moment, without making any physical motion, and no imaginable reason except snow, my car completely turned around and i was driving down mountain. It happened in a second so my conscious couldn't followed what was going on. I felt kind of same at some point during the concert which I REALLY REALLY enjoyed.

音はやっぱりミニマルで、ブルースな雰囲気になったりブラジリアンだったりテクノだったりしたけど、何に一番驚いたかっていうとそのムードやテンポが突然変化するんだけど、それが全く予想していない所で、全くつなぎ目を感じさせない変化で訪れて、って言うのがいつか雪山を自動車で登ってる時、アクセルもハンドルも何も動かしてないのに突然車がくるっと回転して雪山を下ってる自分に驚いた事にすごく似てる体験だなーと思った。突然の変化に意識と身体がついて行くタイムラグを意識すると言うか。で、何回かあったそんな瞬間が最高に面白かった。

Another thing their concert reminded me was Charles Mingus 6tet with eric dolphy (as, bass clarinet) and danny richmond (d). Improvisational part comes on top of precise and accurate performance by each members. I thought this concert was a reply or love call from the year 2010 to Mingus. Very Electronic but very Jazz. I LOVE it. Thank you Takeshi kun for recommendation!!!
もう一つ思い出したのがミンガスの6tetだ。エリックドルフィーがサックスとクラリネットでダニーリッチモンドがドラムスのやつ。即興演奏が正確で完璧な演奏の上に来る。これは2010年からのミンガスへのラブコールと言うか返答なんだなーと思った。すごく電子的なんだがすごくジャズ。大好きだ。たけしくん勧めてくれてありがとう！

I didn't know about dirty projectors at all, but Leilla M recommended me so i bought an album "stillness is the move" quite recently. Very nice. Anyway, we start to feel footsteps of bright spring.
とにかく春の足跡が聞こえ始めた気がする。

The reason why i am explaining about my way last three times on this PopGroup Recordings is because this is how I introduce myself. These are the questions i am asked by someone who I meet for the first time in Europe. What's my name? How and Why I came to Berlin? and What do I do for living. So this time will be the last question and answer, if these are interesting enough, and we like each other, conversation goes on and might develop to a new exciting project or never talk again with this person. So the last one, How do i do? or What do I do?

As I mentioned before, I tried to involve myself to various projects and jobs that relate to fashion, art, design, night life and music. For example, I went to France and Belgium to find used clothes to help my Japanese friend to export to Japan, or one summer I was asked to showcase fashion from Germany with its designers at one location that used to be a university in Hiroo Tokyo when Japan had a "German Year" event through out the year, I did lots of guide jobs in Berlin for Japanese architecture companies or design companies, I helped fashion photo shooting in Berlin for a Japanese fashion brand as well. Besides that, I started to organize my own bar/club event called Koi Klub with my friends in Berlin. I started to create monthly fanzine "Koi Mag" too. I contacted Asics Germany for sponsorship for this reason, there I got to know Mr. Gordon Nowak who immediately agreed and supported us with all the shoes and goods from Onitsuka Tiger and Asics. This was the start of my relationship to Asics and Onitsuka Tiger brands. After several years, I was very keen on designing Koi Klub sneakers and giving ideas to them to make these brands hot and cool from my point of view. Mr. Nowak told me to contact either Asics Japan in Kobe or Asics Europe in Amsterdam so i did both. After talking a lot about Koi Klub sneaker project for a years or so, they kindly set up a meeting in Barcelona where street wear fashion trade fair Bread and Butter was taking place.
I flew over there, had a meeting with Yamada san from Kobe and Kato san from Amsterdam. It was great. After another year or so, the new project called KIRIMOMI was started. I had a chance to travel around Europe to visit sneaker stores in Milan to Madrid to Aberdeen to Stockholm to Frankfurt to Basel to Antwerp to Rotterdam to Lonon to Paris with my own designed sneakers. Always with Remco Korf my Onitsuka Tiger and Asics buddy who lives in Rotterdam, loves snowboarding, doesn't mind driving for 8 hours so much. Hahaha really nice guy. we traveled a lot, talked a lot, argued a lot and partied a lot.

This Euro travel continued for about 6 months, airport---hotel---sneaker stores---airport---hotel---sneaker stores----air port---home, some DJ told me that it is just like a DJ life style. Yes, indeed. It was soooo intensive so that i couldn't remember where I was when Remco and me were having a breakfast at the hotel in Malmo in Sweden that looked exactly the same breakfast we had a week ago in London. Pheeeew. That was amazingly intensive jet coaster experience.
So many nice people we met, so many nice time we had. Just amazing. Who could have imagined this to be happened. Wow! Based on this experience, last 3-4 years i have a contract with Asics Europe B.V as a Freelance Adviser. That is my main job at the moment. Creating new projects with them, helping to generate brand's excitement and ideas for retail stores, products and campaigns. Wow, yes, it's like a dream came true. thank you.....very very much.....to all......

Other than Asics and Onitsuka Tiger job, I do also other things. For example, small one starts from my first modeling job yesterday with 16 years old girl model! for a fashion brand called MAIAMI whose designer is my friend Maike. I am also involved in a project called "MADE" that will be revealed in early March, with Alex Flach, a photographer of Lodown magazine, Philip Gaedicke, Nico, Tati, Luise, Yuko Wakaoka and Zen Yoshimoto!
This will be a big big project which i have been involved since July 2009. I have 3 more projects that are still under brainstorming stage or something similar. So that's how I do. This will be the last one. Let's go back to my normal daily blogging.

ここ三回のPopGroup Recordingsでのブログ書き始めになんでこんなに説明文が多くなっかって言うとこれがヨーロッパで自己紹介をする時にたどるノーマルプロシージャーだから。名前は何ですか？どうしてベルリンにいるんですか？どうやって生計を立ててるんですか？なので今回は最後の質問。どうやって生計を立ててるんですか？これら３つの返答次第や気の合い方で相手に興味を持ってもらって次なるエキサイティングなプロジェクトへもしかしたら進むかもしれないし、それっきりその人とは会わなくなるかもしれない。では、どうやって生きてるの？の返答。

前回書いたように僕はファッションやデザイン、ナイトライフや音楽に関わる事に積極的に関わるようにしてきた。フランスやベルギーに友達のヘルプの為に古着を探しに行った事もあるし、日本でドイツ年が一年を通じて催された時にはドイツのファッションを紹介してくれと、東京の広尾にあった元大学と言う敷地内でデザイナーと一緒にファッションの展示を一夏行った事もあるし、建築事務所やデザイン会社の為にガイドのような事もベルリンで沢山した。日本のファッションレーベルがベルリンでカタログ用の撮影をする手伝いをした事もある。と同時に早い時期から自分のKoi Klubって言うバー、クラブイベントを友達と始めた。その為にKoi Magって言うfanzineも作り始めた。その為のスポンサー探しの間にアシックス、オニツカタイガーのドイツ支社のゴードン ノワークと言う人にあった。この人がものすごくいい人で即答でYES, 次の日にはどかんとスニーカーやアパレルが送られてきて以来ずーっとサポートをしてくれている。何年かそんな関係が続いた後、僕はKoi Klubのスニーカーがどうしても作りたくなった。ゴードンに聞くと「だったら神戸にあるアシックスJapanにコンタクトを取るか、アムステルダムにあるアシックスEuropeにコンタクトを取るのがベストだ」と言われた。それを両方行った。それから確か1年くらい経ってようやく実際会いましょうと言う話をもらってストリートファッションのトレードフェアであるBread and Butterがバルセロナで行われている時にアシックスJapanの山田さん、アシックスEuropeの加藤さんに出会った。ミーティングは自分でも信じられないくらいに素晴らしく前向きな内容だった。そして"KIRIMOMI"って言う新しいプロジェクトがそのまた1年後くらいに立ち上がって僕は自分でデザインしたスニーカーを持ってヨーロッパ中のスニーカー屋さんを訪問する機会を得た。ミラノからマドリッドからアバディーンからストックホルムからフランクフルトからバーゼルからアントワープからロッテルダムからロンドンからパリへ。いつもレムコ コルフって言うオランダ人のアシックスヨーロッパで働く彼と一緒に。スノーボード好きで、ロッテルダムに住んでいて、８時間ドライブもそんなに気にしない彼。あはは。本当に良い彼。彼といつも一緒に旅をしてディスカッションをして口論をして行く街まちでその地の仲間達とパーティーをした。

このヨーロッパツアーはだいたい６ヶ月間続いた。空港---ホテル---スニーカー屋さん--空港---ホテル---スニーカー屋さん---空港---帰宅。それってDJのライフスタイルと一緒じゃん、ってそんな人生を送っているDJによく言われた。全くそうだったと思う。とってもインテンシブで一回はスウェーデンのマルモって言う街に泊まったホテルの朝食をビュッフェからトレイにのせてテーブルに持って行く瞬間「あれ？これってどこだっけ？フランス？スコットランド？へ？何処だっけ？」って自分で分からなくなった事があった。まったく興奮するジェットコースター体験。沢山のヨーロッパ人の仲間達とクレージー且つ情熱のこもった濃くて特別な時間を過ごせせてもらえたミラクル体験。本当に驚きだ。誰がこんな風になるって想像できたか？この経験を通じてここ3-4年はアシックスヨーロッパとフリーランスのアドバイザーとして契約を結ばせてもらえた。これが僕の今のメインジョブ。アシックスヨーロッパと一緒に新しくプロジェクトを立ち上げ、お店や商品やキャンペーンを創造したりエキサイトメントを生む為のお手伝いをしたり。これはWOW。夢が本当にやってきた、ありがとうございますって言う感謝の気持ちで一杯だ。

アシックスとの仕事以外で何をやってるかと言えば色々で、小さな所から言うと例えば昨日は人生始まって以来のモデル業をしてきた。16歳のモデルの女の子と（僕の子供だって言っても通じる！）友達のマイケがデザイナーのMAIAMIって言うベルリンのファッションレーベルに依頼されて。それから大きな所としては3月に公開になるMADEって言うプロジェクトに関わっている。これはLodownマガジンのフォトグラファーであるAlex FlachとPhilip GaedickeとNicoとTatiとLuiseと モデラーの若岡悠子ちゃんと吉本禅さんと一緒に！去年の７月から関わってる大きなプロジェクト。三月公開。ドキドキ。それ以外には３つほどまだブレーンストーミングの段階だけどプロジェクトがある。

Two days ago was a moving day of Zen and Yuko's studio to a MADE project room.

二日前はMADEプロジェクトの部屋へ禅さん達のスタジオの引っ越しだった。左から吉本禅さん、若岡悠子ちゃん、僕、 それとベルリンで建築を学んでいる石川洋くん。

That's also the question. How did I live outside of Japan for 10 years. Neither I am from a rich family nor I won a lottery. But i was very lucky that i could go to america for an exchange student program for a year during my high school time so I could learn to speak English that made my start in Europe quite smoother. But without much help, patient and understanding from my friends in Europe and in Japan, my parents and my family, my private and business partners, it was not possible. Besides that, what else could it be? then It all comes to my mind the word "flow". I would say this flow of open imagination and passion took me to this place where i am now.

One of my Japanese friend who I met on the street by accident in Bangkok, he is based there exporting US used clothes from BKK! to Japan said "hmmmmmmm, that's very difficult to answer how i managed it.......hmmmm....". That's exactly I would say now to somebody who come to ask "how can you live abroad?". But back then I thought "Why he doesn't give me a tip?" But now I know that's the right answer. there is no answer. everybody has their own way. ahaha stupid me.

One thing i was very sure was that I only wanted to do things i like. Things I can get excited like wow wow! So although there were offers during my stay in Berlin which i could earn money I didn't because exporting tools for glasses, or goods for pets to Japan were simply not my thing. My interests stays always quite same. something to do with fashion, art, music, night life, furniture and design. So i just open my ears and eyes to look for something wow. basically that's it. So it was very very essential to be conscious what I love.

どうやって10年間海外で生きることができたのか？それも次の質問だ。僕は裕福な家の出ではないし、宝くじに勝った訳でもない。まず言葉の問題。本当にラッキーだったのは両親からの援助によって高校の1年間アメリカに留学させてもらえることができたので英語がしゃべれた。って言う事はヨーロッパ生活のスタートに勿論大きく助けとなった。次にヨーロッパと日本にいる友達、両親、家族、パートナー、それとビジネスパートナーからの大きなヘルプととけ込むまでの暖かい理解と忍耐力。後は自分の好みや情熱に正直に想像力を働かせて「Flow-流れ」に乗って興奮し続けたら今の場所に着いたとでも言うんだろうか。

バックパッカーを始めた時バンコクのカオサンで大学時代の後輩達にばったり出会った。彼らはバンコクに住んで物をバンコクから日本へ売る事を生業としている彼らだったのだけれどもこう言った。「どうやって海外で生活できるようになったかですか？んー。。。。それは説明するのが難しいですね。」多分僕も今は同じように答える。でもその時は「ち、なんだよヒントぐらい教えてくれても良いじゃんよ」って思った。でもそんなヒントなんてありゃしないんだ、皆それぞれ独自の方法でそこにたどり着くんだからって随分と時間がかかったけど思った。あはは。

ただ最初から自分で分かってたのは自分の好きな事だけやろうって言う事。自分で鼻息荒く興奮できる事だけをやるって言う事。だからベルリン生活の間には眼鏡の道具をドイツから輸出するとか、ペット関連グッズを日本へ売るとか話は色々ともらった事があるけど実際お金を儲ける為には良いかもしれないけど一度もやらなかった。僕の興味は随分前からずーっと変わらなくてそれはファションに関わる事、アート、音楽、ナイトライフに関わる事、家具などのデザイン。その近辺に関わる事に対してアンテナを張っていつも敏感になってどんどん進んで関わって行った。自分の好きな事、情熱を傾けられる事をしっかり意識して生きる事は大事なんだなーと思った。

That's the question. The relationship between PopGroup Recordings (PGR) and me are simple. When Henne aka Artoo organized an exhibition at Adidas Originals store in Berlin maybe around 2003, the founder of PGR, Hiroki Sakaida and one of his artist Washio Tomoyuki were invited to show Washio's famous Figure pieces there. And i met them there and have been meeting them once in a while when I go back to Japan or when they come to Europe. One more episode about PGR is that I invited Goth-Trad, another artist from PGR to my club event Koi Klub at Watergate club in Berlin in 2005. That was banging, Schnitzel on next day was tasty, Goth-kun was very modest guy...

Why I am here in Berlin. That's another question. I started backpack traveling and met some guys from Berlin in Bangkok, kept on traveling for another half year or so and decided that backpacking is not my thing. what to do? then flew over to Berlin from Kathmandu to see them and to see how is Berlin in the year 2000. Phew. Since then i am here. When I came to Berlin, I had 3 friends, I had tourist visa that lasts for three months, I had nothing but just a stuff in my backpack. And I knew i had to earn money somehow to survive....HA! I can't do it again. It will be totally different thing for sure if I do it again. That's how it goes.....aight...

なんでここにいるのか。それが質問だ。PopGroup Recordings (以下PGR)と僕の関係は分かりやすい。友達のHenne aka Artooがベルリンのアディダスオリジナルスのインストアエキシビションを催した時にPGRの坂井田裕紀君と鷲尾友公君が招待されて鷲尾友公のフィギュアを展示してた事があった。確か2003年とか。そのときに初めて二人に出会ってそれ以来ひろき君とわっしーとは日本へ帰ると会ったり、彼らがヨーロッパへ来ると会ったりして交際を続けている。もう一つエピソードを追加するならばPGRのGoth-Tradを僕が主催したKoi Klubのクラブイベントに招待してプレイしてもらった事だ。2005年にベルリンのWatergateって言うクラブで。大爆音で。帰りのシュニッツェルがおいしくて。Goth君は人が良くて。。。

なんでベルリンにいるのか。それはまた別の質問だ。とりあえずバックパックを始めたバンコクでベルリンから来てた二人の男に出会った。それでもそのまま旅を半年くらい続けた所でバックパック旅行をやめる事を決めて、ベルリンへその二人へ会う為、それとベルリンを見る為にカトュマンドウから2000年にやってきた。それ以来ベルリンに居る。始めは知り合いは3人だけだった。ビザは観光だった。持ち物はバックパックの中身だけだった。ただお金を稼がないと生きて行けないのはよくわかってた。は！　って言うのをもう一度やれって言われても無理。もしやったとしたらまた全然違うものになる事は分かってる。まーそんな感じでhow it goes。aight....

My name is Yoske Nishiumi. On my passport it actually says Yos"u"ke Nishiumi but I thought this "u" is not so necessary so i deleted some years ago. My family name Nishiumi means "west ocean", and my last name "Yoske" is not that easy to translate but i always explain it as kind of "ocean boy". so very ocean related name for nothing-to-do-with-ocean guy except dreaming about drinking prosecco by amalfi coast. I realized that there is a boy's nick name in Israel that is also Yoske. Sometime i meet people from Israel who is totally surprised by knowing my name is also Yoske. Anyway, Hallo to you all. 僕の名前は西海洋介です。パスポートにはYosuke Nishiumiと記載されているのだけれどもこの"u"は必要ないかなと思って数年前から無くした。日本語が読める人は説明の必要は無いけれど、そうでない人たちには勿論ファミリーネームは「西の海と言う意味」、洋介は説明するのが難しいので軽く流して「海の子」といつも説明している。アマルフィー海岸でプロセコを飲む夢を見る事以外には海には全く関係ない男についたかなり海な名前。このYoskeと言う名前はイスラエルでも存在する。男のニックネームなんだそう。なのでたまにイスラエルから来た人に自己紹介をすると相当驚かれる事がある。とにかく。初めまして皆さん、よろしくお願いしますPOP GROUPの皆さん、初めましてMitchel、どうぞよろしくお願いします。
